چکیده

Agricultural bioinoculants containing arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi represent a potential opportunity to reduce the dependence of grapevines ( Vitis ) on agrochemicals. This field study assessed ability four commercial colonize grapevine roots and their effects petiole nutrient concentration, berry composition, root morphology ‘Pinot noir’ vinifera grafted onto rootstock ‘Couderc 3309’ riparia × rupestris ‘Riesling’ V. Selection Oppenheim berlandieri ). Three increased colonization; however, regardless treatment, fungal structures were enhanced. Grapevine concentration was improved by bioinoculants. Root diameter, length density, specific with greater colonization. Using chemical fertilizers may be good strategy improve productivity health in cool climates; impact vineyard differ among scion–rootstocks, edaphoclimatic conditions, soil microbiomes.

Relationships between root diameter, root length and root branching along lateral roots in adult, field-grown maize.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Root diameter, especially apical diameter, plays an important role in root development and function. The variation in diameter between roots, and along roots, affects root structure and thus the root system's overall foraging performance. However, the effect of diameter variation on root elongation, branching and topological connections has not been examined systematically i...

Root growth and physiology of potted and field-grown trembling

plants and field-grown aspen trees (Populus tremuloides Michx.) exposed to ambient or twice-ambient ozone. Root dry weight of potted plants decreased up to 45% after 12 weeks of ozone treatment, and root system respiration decreased by 27%. The ozone-induced decrease in root system respiration of potted plants was more closely correlated with decreased root dry weight than with specific root re...

Biochars Derived from Gasified Feedstocks Increase the Growth and Improve Nutrient Acquisition of Triticum aestivum (L.) Grown in Agricultural Alfisols

Biochars are produced by low-oxygen gasification or pyrolysis of organic waste products, and can be co-produced with energy, achieving waste diversion and delivering a soil amendment that can improve agricultural yields. Although many studies have reported the agronomic benefits of biochars produced from pyrolysis, few have interrogated the ability of gasified biochars to improve crop productiv...

Engineering Rhizobial Bioinoculants: A Strategy to Improve Iron Nutrition

Under field conditions, inoculated rhizobial strains are at a survival disadvantage as compared to indigenous strains. In order to out-compete native rhizobia it is not only important to develop strong nodulation efficiency but also increase their competence in the soil and rhizosphere. Competitive survival of the inoculated strain may be improved by employing strain selection and by genetic en...
